just picked up an old style jotul 602 with the solid door not the glass door. my question is it does not have the upper air chamber or air exchanger did this model have one originally and if it did is it needed to operate?
I'm not sure but are you talking about the high arched heat exchanger or an exchanger like on the larger F118? The high arched exchanger on this stove made it a model 606. It never did have an F118 style exchanger.
