Woah, so the top chord of your rafter they cut? AND it's only a 2x4? Do you guys get not much snow?

I would have moved the chimney over to go between vs cutting a rafter!

5hrs, not too bad though. The guys that did mine where in and out in about 2.5 hours. It would have took me about that long to find a ladder in my shed!

not 2x4, across the roof. They are cut on a diagonal, for slight pitch for a mostly flat roof. Its kinda hard to explain....but all is well. Chimney is huge, will try and take pics tomorrow. Gonna do a 200 degree burn to start until tomorrow, 300, ect. Will post pics

Looks like a rubber roof? EPDM....
If so, I hope they flashed it right with true rubber flashing or uncured rubber flashing. If they used any asphalt based product to seal with, and if it is a rubber roof. The asphalt will eat the rubber causing it to bubble up and it will leak. Hope I am wrong.

Yes, the flashing material was a rubber coated (epdm). I personally sealed it with some left over epdm roll I had left and used the seam tape and lap sealant.

We really like the stove. Pics aren't the best, but it is nice. Damn curing times are teasing us though. Hopefully a full burn by the weekend.
