I have a Castine who's door gasket slips down during hot fires which opens up a path for unregulated air. It seems like the glass deforms slightly which allows the gasket to drop. The glass also has a tendency to slide down slightly over time and needs to be pushed back up periodically. Any suggestions for fixes? Should the gasket be glued in place? Should shims be added to the window clamps?

It sounds like the glass clamps may need to be tightened just a little bit to increase tension on the glass. Do this carefully. Try tightening the clamp screws 1/8-1/4 turn, no more, and see if that stops the problem.
