jotul F 500 oslo pre 2000's

Hi,
I have a Jotul F 500 Oslo pre-2000's non-catalytic and there are two plates that sit above the three tubes. Are these supposed to sit directly on these tubes or further back so that there is space to where you can see up the flu pipe.

Are these the old style cast iron plates? If so, check for warping first.

Jotul F500 baffle question

I have a jotul F500. Cleaning it out I noticed that one of the top baffle on the inside of the stove is warped. It is probably sitting about 1/2 in higher where they meet due to the front of the plate being warped up a bit. Should I be concerned about this? Do I need to purchase new plates?
