I came across my basement fireplace flu damper this weekend, thinking of taking it to the scrap yard. Should I keep it in case a future owner wants to use the fireplat?

Unless i really have to butcher the damper frame i always leave them usually on the smoke shelf in case someone wants to go back to a open fireplace.

It says, Atlantic Chimney Co. On it in big letters. Thinking of repurposing it as wall art.
