Odd question but hoping for input.
I sold my previous insert and my firebox is empty. I started fabbing a block off plate prepping for my new insert. I out minimal pressure on the liner and it dropped all the way down to firebox floor.
I called the guy who installed it and he said it was impossible.
Anyone heard of this happening?

bholler
I was staring at my liner trying to compose myself listening to him tell me it is impossible.

How did you pull them back up?

Thanks man!
The installer is supposed to get back in touch with me. He said he may need to pull it all the way out from the fireplace and reinstall.
What you say is logical, him I'm beginning to wonder about

Well i am not looking at the setup so i cant say for sure but that really doesn't sound right to me

Have you not tried to shove it back up? It just slipped out of the clamp up top. Careful, you don't want to knock the cap off onto your roof. I bet the installer failed to secure and seal the cap either since he failed to secure the liner or put in the block off plate.
