Loading FireplaceX LFA e/w or n/s and bucking logs

Since I'm building up my stockpile for my new insert and I'm doing the bucking, here's my dilemma.

1. If I load EW it can hold 24" in the front, but only 21" in the rear.

2. If I load NS it can hold 15". It tapers off in the corners but I could tilt the splits a bit.

What length should I cut at? I was thinking 21". That only leaves 1.5" on either side of my firebox. Plus if I have the odd slightly longer split I'm Ok. I would prefer NS so I could mitigate the off chance a burning split rolls against the glass but is that worth cutting to 15"? If I have a 20' tree and I buck it to 15" pieces that's 16 cuts. That same 20' tree could be bucked to 21" in 11 cuts.

If you prefer 15" then cut it to 15". Easier splitting / better burning vs Less bucking and stacking. Go with what burns best.

Good point of view thank u. I should consider my storage abilities as well. I'm using these 4x8 metal log racks. If I cut to 24" I can store a full cord in2 of them. If I cut to 15" to store a full cord takes 3 of them and then I'm not quite there. If in cutting to 21" I'm storing 1.25 cords in 3 racks. I'm leaning 15" but maybe I should implement that when I have a proper woodshed and not these metal log racks that I have about 14 of.
