Looking at this... Can you tell when I bought my stove?

My power company has an awesome website that allows me to track my daily electric usage (down to the hour) and daily temps. I bought the stove on 1/17/2013 and 1/18 was the first full day of use. Furnace has not turned on since 1/17. Need to get NG water heater or use a pellet boiler and this would be even better lol! By the way I was keeping the house at 65° on electric and 82° using pellets. Cost is unbelievably better!

Some reason your not using NG? You mentioned getting a NG hot water heater.

Ng. If you have ng you would have been better off getting an ultra high efiecent furnace either boiler or forced hot air. And also get a tankless water heater . Getting a boiler heater is no good. It requires u to run it in summer to heat water. Tankless = on demand

Ng is much cheaper than pellets especially if you went with a 95 98% unit.

When the house was built there was no NG. I am on the outskirts. I just bought the house in March of last year and haven't replaced the water heater yet. I now have gas run to the house but it is not hooked up. I actually have it run to the guest house and not the main house because the guest house is closer to the road. So I can replace the water heater in the guest house but not the main house until I get a line run lol![/quote]

Trees are renewable. My stove though is saving me a good bit of money, but it is also for principle! I like using a renewable energy source. I like sitting in front of my pellet stove eating a granola bar (at least until my birkenstock's get too warm)
