Lopi Liberty too big for 2100sqf?

Hello,

Is a liberty too big for that size of a house? Also what is the going price for a 5 year old one without a blower. I can get one for $1000 is that good?

I do not know much of the Lopi Liberty but 2100sq' is a lot of space so I am thinking there will be no such thing as "to big" and if it is to big that is better than to small. Sq' ratings on stoves are a missleading because there is no true way to rate for sq' with a space heater unless every space was the same. As in, Edward scissorhands" neighborhoods with no one having a different house. Bigger is always better 99% of the time

It's not too big. Don't know about availability of used ones wherever you may live. Just like a used car, price depends on age and condition. Condition can vary quite widely. $1000 might be a good price, or it might be too much...depends on the stove. Rick

It depends on your house layout, insulation, and climate. I'm heating 2400 sqft with a liberty and it keeps my house between 85 and 90 without the blower running. Just a word of warning these babies like to run hot. I could have probably went with the endeavor but during that cold spell we had a few weeks back I was glad I had the big firebox and it never dropped below 80 in here with temps 10 degrees outside. I don't know if $1000 is a good price or not it would depend on the condition but I know mine was new $2799 for stove with pewter door and $259 for the blower that I rarely ever use

I'm not sure on the price but it's not to big for the house.

I live in a split level. The stove will be on the ground floor which is the biggest room in the house (25x14). I live right outside Philly PA. and have a Heat pump.

Looks well cared for from the outside. The firebox/brick/baffle/secondary air tubes all need to be thoroughly inspected when the stove is empty and cold. Rick

That's the size of my living room where the stove is located and like I said its usually 85 to 90 degrees. Looks good from the outside, but before you purchase it, I would ask if you could come and inspect it. Look closely at the air channels inside of the firebox for any signs of cracking or broken welds

It should be about right for your house size. The next size down is the stove I have and it is rated up to 2000 SF, which cab be generous depending on the house. By the way the convective feature really works on my stove (which is like your stove).

You did not ask but may I humbly submit you get some wood, other than oak, split and stacked immediately if you do not have any.
