I’ve read a lot of threads on here and can’t find much on the quadrafire adventure 2 vs the Lopi Liberty. We are attempting to decide between the two shortly! If you have any personal experience with either stove please speak up.
We are placing the stove in our daylight basement that is 1200sq feet but divided into a living room with bedroom off each side!
We have an air return down stair that will help circulate the heat throughout the house (3300 sq ft total) if we choose.

My concerns with the adventure 2, is there doesn’t seem to be a lot of information out on the forums regarding experince with the smart burn technology. Anyone have any input on how well it functions or if they have many malfunctions with the programmable thermostat functionality? Is the max burn time really 20hrs like they state?

The Lopi Liberty from reading on the forums seems to burn hot, and the max burn time seems to be reported at about 9-10hrs?

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

They are quite different stoves. The Liberty is a simple basic design that has been around for a long time. The Adventure is a modern high tech stove. The Liberty has a 3 cu ft rectangular firebox that is shallow and wide. The Adventure is smaller by .5 cu ft and has square firebox. The Liberty has a bypass system for easy, smoke free starts. The Adventure has a set it and forget it system that is electronically controlled. This is a new system that has had some kinks to work out. Long term reliability has not been established yet. The Lopi has an over 20 yr track record.

There are many more good choices in this size from Osburn, Regency, Pacific Energy, Enviro. Are Lopi and Quad the only choices locally?

No probably not the only thing locally. This is just what we narrowed it down too based on being able to get either one of these for around $2500, which seems good based on MSRP. We also looked at the blaze king princess, but price is a factor. Going and doing more shopping this weekend.
Both these stoves seemed comparable in size and emissions. Max burn seems to vary greatly though between these two.

Any other input is always welcome!

Thanks!
