Moving stove to other side of chimney

Hello. We bought a new house and it has an existing wood stove from 2014. You can see it in the corner of the image below:



We would like to move it to the adjoining room and use the same chimney for the pipe. I thought we could also use the space between the wall and the chimney to store wood.

As you see in the picture below, there is already a hole in the chimney that has been previously blocked up with concrete:



What is the best way of removing the concrete from the hole to unblock it? Can we also use the same method to block the hole currently in use?

Yes, this can be done, with certain caveats. First, the chimney should be inspected for integrity and suitability. It's not safe to assume the original installation was done correctly. Is there a 6" stainless liner in the masonry chimney? If not, careful cleaning and inspection of the flue system need to happen. If there is a liner, then the tee snout needs to be removed as the liner is repositioned to face the old blocked hole on the other side (that has since been reopened). If all is done properly, then a new hearth needs to be put in for the stove, per its requirements as defined in the manual, and the stove clearance requirements honored.
