Well, the Cape Cod will soon be on its way back to the factory for analyzing. It hate to see it go! It was an incredible heater with an amazing view! I decided to go with a safer design, once they get the bugs worked out maybe I'll give it another try?
I've went full circle, I started out with an Oslo!

Did you toss some Tulip in there to see how long it would go? ==c

Well, almost. I haven't been able to try the Progress Hybrid yet. ;lol

Well that looks real nice bud, keep us updated on how well you like it, our brown enamel looks great with the couches and tv stand, as well as floor, so we are very happy.... Get some pics of that baby being fired! Up.....good luck and.
Love the one your with....

well the P.H. requires a special dealer certificate to sell that awesome of a stove:rolleyes:
I would love to try a Woodstock out, seriously! It's too bad they don't support the dealer network anymore. They make nice stuff!

No fire pics? That is one nice looking stove even without fire

At least you now have a hot looking stove to counter the bland BK...::-)

Webby, Let me know how you think the Oslo compares to the BK and the CC in terms of wood usage and heat output, etc. I'm just curious.

Always good to have at least one stove in the house that burns wood the way God meant for it to be burned. ;lol

How much smaller is the fire box on the Oslo when compared to the Ashford?

I will, but I already know how the burn times stack up against the BK. ;lol
I knew that before I bought it! But, it is nice to have a radiant stove again!

I was wondering if the usable space translated to more than that.
I don't think it has a more usable sized firebox, the BK has an almost square, 18"x19" firebox. Most of my wood is around 18" so I have to kinda look for longer stuff to fill the Oslo, the same thing with the Cape Cod.

What I meant was, with the burn tubes and design, if it turned out that the usable firebox was even smaller for the Oslo.

Very nice! Jøtul makes some good looking stoves.

Question for you, Webby. When you turn the Ashford up to run full tilt, how does the fire compare (in terms of how nice it is to look at) to the fire in this Jotul?
? It so rarely gets turned to high. High is really the only time I get active flames. When it does, it's pretty! Lots of blue flames and secondary flames being touched of by the cat. Maybe comparable to the Oslo I guess, but nothing compared to the Cod.
