My fireplace is 41.75 inches wide by 28.75 inches high. I want a propane insert for it but I can't seem to find anything. The websites I've been on don't mention what size fireplaces they would fit. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Where have you been looking?
I went here, & scrolled down to specs.
The info you need is there.
Every manufacturer lists the minimum dimensions for insert installations.

Do you know of anything cheaper? I was trying to keep under a grand.
That isn't going to happen unless you go to the used market
