Need help with thermostat

I have an Enviro EF5 Evolution pellet stove. It says I can hook up a thermostat but I have yet to do so. Ive done some searching on these forums and some people are talking about millivolts and its confusing. My manual says it takes 24v and the thermostat I am curious about says its 24 volts. I attached a photo of where it says in the manual.

My main problem is I just want to start my pellet stove when Im not home via my phone when I want so the house will be warm. My house is only 1800 sqft so I only use the pellet stove to heat the whole house which it does just fine. I dont even use my thermostat to my furnace because my oil furnace is just shut off unless the pellet stove breaks. Any help would be appreciated since I am not too knowledgeable but would love to get any help you guys can provide.

You have two things to consider first is that 24 volts a power requirement for the T-Stat itself to work (just so you know it is) and then does the stove controller actually need to see 24 volts in order to sense the T-stat state (this would be uncommon),
unfortunately the stove's manual; doesn't state that and further the T-Stat manual says nothing about what it actually provides the stove.

Most pellet stove controllers only expect to see whatever the controller provides in the way of voltage, in other words they expect a closed circuit (which is what the wire between the thermostat connections provides).

That T-Stat expects the heating system to provide 24 volts as its power supply. Your stove will likely not provide that but from the manual it looks more like the voltage is more of what the contacts in the T-stat can handle.

In other words the manual is as clear as mud.
