Need Wood ID please

My wood guy dropped off a load recently going through it find mostly Oak and Silver Maple but I also have some of this stuff - light, white flesh and stringy, no smell - never processed this before - any idea what it is?...

I am thinkin Beech. What say the rest of you ?
 
Thanks - I have processed beech before - pretty sure its not beech - its not hard at all - light. Chinese Sumac....that doesn't sound tasty at all.

Yes - Chinese Sumac (aka Tree of heaven) - I just cut some of this down - real evasive stuff - I think we got a winner. It will bun but I do believe it registers high on the crap scale.

Definitely not beech. Ive never had Tree of heaven but I'll defer to those above. From what I've read it isn't that great :confused:
 
It doesn't look quite like ailanthus to me. If it is ailanthus then it must have been dead and dry before it got to you. Fresh cut it is very heavy with water and stinks something fierce.
 
Wow, the name Tree of Heaven, somebody has a hood sense of humor. Big offensive weed is better.
