New Ashley Mini to supplement the wood stove..

Hey alls...

Just picked up an Ashley Mini pellet stove from our local TSC. They had it on sale for $649 (over 1k everywhere else) and when I went into the store, the only one they had was the floor model. It had a few scratches so they knocked another 15% off.

Ended up getting it and the imperial floor protector for $640 out the door.

Since I only need ember protection with this stove, I cut down the floor board and tucked it nicely into a corner in our dining room.

Will pickup the vent kit tomorrow with an extra 45° elbow and straight pipe. That should button it up. This will mainly be used during the shoulder seasons and when the temps dip below 5F and the wood stove struggles. Should do the trick.

Got it plumbed in after work tonight and running it through it's paces.

I'm fairly impressed with this tiny stove so far. Wood stove is out... Tiny stove is on it's lowest setting and house is 74°...

Might consider making this my primary heat source and using the big wood stove as secondary for subzero days and power outages.

Still planning on an OAK even though it's not required by the stove manufacturer.

If this little stove holds up... I'll say it was a solid investment.
