Quebec
I just pull the trigger for a B.K. Ashford 30.2, the only one available here in Québec near my location was an enameled brown. With the cold time we get , a real stove is a must...lol. The B.K. will replace the Hearthstone Heritage TruHybrid. All wish is to have done a good choice on the Ashford. The main reason to go for a B.K. is all the good comments here on the forum, I also read good comments elsewhere too. The 30.2 is about the same size as the Heritage, so the stove will be able to do the job. The long burning times and the thermostat are some of the changement. The stat seems to work differently from Vermont Castings ones and give good results.

Hi Mr. I see that you'r a funny man...super. My Ashford is supposed to arrive next Monday, an other ** Christmas ** day. LOL, bye from Québec.
brûler de joie

The stoves is just arrived, I was not shure how the brown would be, some brown stoves are not of the best color but anyways, it was that brown one or a black as we wanted first , but a black one would be available in ??? weeks/months ???
Finally we are very satisfied with the Chestnut Brown Enamel color.

As mentioned by @begreen, I too would love to see BK do another run in grey/blue.

What's the chances @BKVP ?

I upgraded my house stove from a modern 2006 vintage hearthstone heritage to a BK princess for primary heating. It was an excellent decision. Long and controlled burns saved us wood and increased home comfort while decreasing effort. If your chimney is correct then you should enjoy the upgrade!

I hope to finish the works soon around and back of the alcove for the Blaze King, that stove is much deeper than the Heritage. The chimney is an interior one, 18 F. plus the black stove pipe.
I wonder what mean the : .0, .1, .2, on the 30.0, 30.1, 30.2 on the Ashford model, some other B.K. stoves have also these numbers.
The stove seems very well done.

30.0 was from testing before 2015. 30.1 was testing after 2015 and 30.2 if for testing after 2020. EPA requirements resulted in industry having to retest. Even when stove remains unchanged, you must change the model number.

We never did blue/Grey. We did do white at one time.

BKVP
How about white then?

Would love something other than standard black. The chestnut could probably grow on me.
My personal 2 favorites are the blue/black and white stoves.

We offer cast Grey, black and chestnut enamel. And that's about enough....Colors don't sell very well.

My last stove was a green enameled Douvre. Hated it. I much prefer the look of the black Ashford I have now.

Thanks. Is it correct to say that the number 20 or 30...are for the max. burn time ?

The new Ashford 30.2A is home. The color is super nice, we love it. Now I should work on the alcove modifications, the Ashford is a lot deeper than the Hearthstone Heritage.

Yes, basically those are hours burning on low.
Turns out that BKs can burn about 1 cu ft of fuel filling in 10 hours; the 20 models have about 2 cu ft firebox and burn about 20 hrs.
The 30 models 3 cu ft (2.9) and burn 30 hrs. The King is 4 cu ft and burns for 40 hrs.

Nice stove!!!!
Next pic with fire please :-)

The factory fan kit is especially effective for that model. Food for thought.

No need for it. There is a special system in the basement removing/pulling the warm air out of the alcove ( not exactly an alcove) and send the warm air to the basement, then the air handler in the basement running 24h/24 send air to the 3 levels. The 3 levels are about the same temperature , just about 1* difference. All the house is confortable , no cold spot and no too hot one . Works that way for the past30 (+) years. Thanks anyway!

In the US one can't have a duct pulling away air from within 10 ft of the stove.

The pulling system is not pulling warm air directly from the stove and don't send it in a connected air handler's port. The code says not to connect warm air from a wood stove directly in an air handler's duct. Directly from/around the stove to the air handler return duct is the important point.
