New Drolet furnaces?

  • Active since 1995, Hearth.com is THE place on the internet for free information and advice about wood stoves, pellet stoves and other energy saving equipment.

We strive to provide opinions, articles, discussions and history related to Hearth Products and in a more general sense, energy issues.

We promote the EFFICIENT, RESPONSIBLE, CLEAN and SAFE use of all fuels, whether renewable or fossil.
The fire or exhaust is monitored and incoming air is adjusted in small increments constantly to maintain optimal combustion...instead of the current "closed damper, or open damper" controls that Drolet and many/most others use.

I gotta say I welcome the development of what you call active controls.

Me too...had I a little more time, and talent, I would have further modded my Tundra to this extent...

I think SBI has been looking at active controls for years...they just choose not to put them into production. With tighter regulations...it's eventually going to happen. I'm okay with it too.
