New England Pah auger trouble

I have a New England PAH stove that's 2 yrs old. I had got it from Amfm energy. Last night I tried to start it for the first time this yr. And the Auger will not turn. I checked and there's no obstruction in the auger tube,pulled both yellow and black wires off the back of the auger motor and I am getting power. Could my auger motor be bad already? Has anyone had this problem before? If so where is the best place to get an Auger motor for my PAH ?THANK YOU.

Likely vacuum problems. Start with a massive cleaning of the internal pathways.

Could also check whatever interrupt mechanisms there are (ie hopper lid switch or similar)

dollar bill test all gaskets

How much voltage are you getting at the motor? If it's line voltage, you have a bad motor or, more likely, a jam. If you left pellets in the stove all summer, they may have "solidified" due to moisture. The cure is to remove the auger and clean things out. You just might be able to empty the hopper and clean from above, but more likely will need to remove the auger.

Just replaced an auger motor on a 2 yr.old pdvc so yes it's possible to be a bad motor.

Found out the problem. It was a bad vacuum switch. I bypassed the switch and it started to work. Thanks for the hel .

While your switch may indeed be bad, that's rare. Usually it's a lack of vacuum problem. Let us know how it works with the new switch. Please do NOT run the stove unattended with the switch bypassed It's a safety item, and we don't want to read about you in the papers...

My first thought ... just a test situation and not to be run that way without the switch

I would hook the switch back up just to see if a clog cleared somehow.
