Once finished and sealed this should keep the floor dry if snow comes in on the wood and to some degree keep the mess in it's place. As you can see my reason for having only one critism of this stove - the RH opening. If it were a lefty it would be perfect but I can move a lot of wood around the door for 1500 bucks.
Glass is a little dirty because my morning warm up fire is winding down. Nothing a scotch pad and a little soapy water cannot cure in seconds.
