The stove was delivered Wednesday and the installer set it up today. Did the first break in burn (hard to keep at 200 degrees) and looking forward to getting this cranked after two more burns. It's like buying a Porsche and being told to take it around the block at 30 mph. FOr a change I will actually follow the instructions.

A couple of pics here and will set up the tripod during a real burn for some better fire pics. Thanks to all the great folks on here for all the advice before buying.

Congratulations. Good to hear that you are up and running. I remember being super eager to get those break in burns over. 60 degree outside temps kept me waiting a little bit.

Welcome to the club. Very nice looking set up. Be safe.

How can a newbie have so many posts?

You mean me? I had a pellet stove and spent my time on the pellet forum, sold the pellet stove and moved to wood this year.

Welcome to the dark side! You're going to love that Oslo. I'm on my first year with mine and I absolutely love it.

You didn't have much room to go up did you? Looks nice.

You are going to love the Blue/Black finish, it's nearly bullet proof. My kids have done a number to my stove over the last 2.5 years, still looks great. I have had no issues with my stove so far, I love it. Make sure you have DRY wood, the stove will thank you for it.

Very nice . . . a great stove. I've thought many a time about wanting to get something even prettier (i.e. soapstone), but honestly I really can't beat the performance, reliability and ease of use with this stove.
