So last week I stop by some tree company doing some work near my office. Guys says sure, he will give me wood. He hates chipping it. He just texts me during the day and I pick it up on my way home from work. sweeeeeeeeeet. He outsources the big jobs, so most of the wood is on the smaller size. I'll take it! It's free. They have been cutting it to 3 or 4 foot lengths. So I built a new sawbuck to make my time more efficient. image.jpgimage.jpg

Nice, Are the rails spaced at your desired log length? If so that will save a crap load of time.

You mean like spaced 16" so he doesn't have to guess at it?

Yea they are all spaced perfectly. Load and cut. I've gotten almost a cord from the wood hookup just his first week with him. When I stopped by the other day I gave his crew a dunkin gift card. Trying to bribe them......

The limb size stuff is perfect. Split once and throw it in the stack. Limbs seem to season quick to boot.
