Well I pulled the trigger and purchased the Huskee 22 ton splitter from TSC yesterday. I called and talked to the manager and he held one of the two they just got in and assembled it, filled the fluids and had it waiting for me all before I even paid for it. Can't ask for better service than that.

It has the new Kholer 6.5hp engine. I got the log cradle as well, FYI the cradle fits all
models now. The engine is set back and opposite the operator too. Runs great. I'm going to change the break in oil at 2 hours and again at 5 to be safe.
Can't wait to fire this beast up!

Split 1/2 cord today with it and I am very impressed. It took everything I threw at it and begged for more. Log cradle is worth every penny.

Nothing like that first day with a splitter. Have fun.

Congrats,
Many years of use to ya!

Nothing like hydraulics, every once and a while I pull the Fiskars out for kicks and giggles and realize how much I love hydraulics.

I have had one of these 22 ton Huskies for a year and very happy with it. With the curled side of the beam be very careful with your fingers....never place them between the wood and the metal while operating. Haven't owned a gas splitter before and there is real power there. I have learned the hard way not to adjust wood with fingers while operating. No permanent damage but a good ouch. Just back up a bit and readjust even if it takes a few seconds.
