Pics are not closeups, but it looks like you did a beautiful job on the rebuild.
:). TY. I just bought a new one. That color is called metallic brown. Doesn’t look that brown but maybe it cures. The rebuild was too challenging. No bolts would come out . Interested in doing a rebuild? Let me know. I have the old one still.

Ok. Making progress … The hearth I made with flagstone came out good. It’s concrete under the floating wood floor so it was easy to pop up.

Quick question — See the pics … Connecting the stove to the DVL pipe I have these two adapters together this which is about the right length. Does it look ok ? Put some screws in em and I should be good right? I can’t find any better adapter on line.

On the outside I have a 24 inch horizontal piece attaching to the T through the wall which gets me to the right spot clear my rafters and the valley in my patio roof and not come up right where the two roofs come together. Not ideal but i’ll give it a try.

Thanks

The most important consideration will be meeting the clearance requirements for the stove. Note that this is greater on the door side. The heath doesn't look like it was designed for a corner stove. In the least, the stove may need to scoot away from the wall a bit more. The docs are a bit vague for double-wall stove pipe install, but in order to get the closest clearance, the stove needs to have the walls shielded with a proper NFPA 211 wall shielding system.

The setup is not ideal. It introduces three 90º turns in the flue system path. This will reduce draft. However, the Fireview is an easy breathing stove so as long as there is sufficient height to the outside chimney and the room is not a negative pressure zone, the draft may be sufficient.

For connecting the stove, there may not need to be any adapter. In many cases, the end of the standard DVL pipe section neatly fits onto the flue collar. Try that. If so, a single 6" section may suffice to connect the tee to the stove.

Thanks begreen. Yep those are the diagrams I followed. I’m good on clearances . i have the heat shield and am at 12 inches from walls and the DVL is 6 inches from the walls.
I guess ill give this a go and if it doesn’t draft go straight up through the roof … which will be a little unsightly and i’ll have wasted a lot of work but I think it will since it’s a pretty standard installation. Do stoves I was hoping the Bend up inside would help didn’t try i would have always wondered.

I did try to get the DVL into the collar. It is a bit too big and they say to crimp it a little to make it fit and i tried that but still couldn’t get it to fit . Anyone gotten DVL to go into collar of fireview without an adapter?

The adapters that came with the through the wall kit make it fit good and give me about 6 inches. But a 6 inch piece without adapters would be ideal i think. This is much harder than I remember ha ha and I’ve done a through the wall install before 15 years ago.

One last question — This dVL is heavy. What do people do to support the stack inside? I was thinking of stacking some bricks up and put a piece of flagstone under the T i think.

Thanks and happy friday.

@begreen I see what you are saying now about the pad not right. Darn :( I just looked at the diagrams and didn’t read the text much and met the A = 58 inches … and the 12 inches from walls. But now I read the text and it says it must be at least 54 x 54 inches I can pop up one last plank of wood and then it will be 54 inches x 59.5 inches. Everything else and the position of the stove is ok from what i can tell. I have the rear heat shield and 16 inches on the door side to the wall.

I’ll get it working and then pop up one more plank.I love my steller wood floors. I’ll plug them here — nice solid american oak floating floor system .. Easy to install . I installed it over slab floor that used to have lenoleaum and carpet almost 2 years ago and so far so good I really love it. https://www.floorsbysteller.com/?srsltid=AfmBOooCYvABalFyRX3W6N6QTRWPTOvIRG3B4ETqVri2l4DxNEj_tvC-

Woohoo I got it burning. It’s drawing pretty good. Oh man I love it so much. I’ve never had a stove this good. All mine before were used 300.00 buck stoves off craigslist. . I have about 12.5 ft of chimney outside and 3ft inside. I did the initial firing following the instructions. It hasn’t gotten up to 600 yet. I have 4 more ft of chimney I can add. Thanks everyone for the support. Cheers .

P.S. My wife is real impressed with me now after sitting in front of this beautiful stove with the baby. That’s a bonus. :)
I’m going to get our mason guy to lay the brick I have around the corner 1 inch from the wall. I’m tuckered out and don’t want to mess with laying brick. He can do it 5 times as fast as i could. .
