I've been lurking here for a little while, and figured it was time to register. This is a great forum, and I have learned quite a bit just checking out a lot of the posts here. I figured for my first post I would throw a couple pics up of the scrounging I've done over the last few days. A road crew has been cutting along my ride home from work, and after I stopped to talk with them, was told to help myself. :)

Congrats. What type of stove do you have?

Thought about adding a Signature? To let those know what your packing? LOL

You gotta truck, you received permission, looks like you are doing well!

As it should be! Well done.

Hopefully you'll be able to keep that up and get a nice stockpile going.

It's an addiction. But, really as far as addictions go, a good one.

Welcome to the site.

There's some maple for sure, but some of the other stuff I'm not positive about. I got a load of locust out of there too, but didn't get a pic. The road crew that cut this stuff up moved a couple miles down the road, and left some more stuff laying. It's in a spot along the road without much of a shoulder, so I don't know if it real feasible to get it. I hate to see the wood go to waste though.

Sigg, if possible, can you get larger pictures when you post? Good for you talking to the road crew. They from time to time may even give you some hints on where to find more.
