The stove is new to me and I noticed that there is rope on the front side of the glass all the way around however it only has rope on three sides of the glass on the inside and it appears to me as though it was designed like that. Is that where it's supposed to draw are from or is something missing here? I went through the manual pretty carefully and I actually couldn't find it shown.

That's normal and not supposed to be there. It the stove's "air wash" system to keep the glass cleaner.
