cant figure out if this is on the high end and in line with last year. Doesn't seem like we should have used that much since end of September.

Ya, I was hoping to have not started burning so soon myself but when you burn it adds up ! A bag here, two bags there over two months time can equal a half ton or 25 bags depending how you want to read that. But in my case I have not started on my stash for the season yet. While we started early, I burned off some remaining pellets from last year and have bought some individual bags weekly since those are gone now. Trying to make Thanksgiving before I tap my stash. But my stove is not a pellet pig, I like a warm house and the house is a pellet pig !!

That's a lot of pellets so far. It has been way too warm to run the stove on a regular basis. I've used maybe 2 bags. I think that's going to change today.

Cape Cod has been up and down, we have had frost some mornings and 60 deg days other times. This is our second bit of snow, first that collected a little bit on the grass. The last time was just flurries. I think we are setting up for another tough winter.

Ive been burning for the better part of a month but not so much during the day mostly at night! last four day or so its been kind of warm! Now with a blanket of snow now on the ground and more predicted for Monday Id say its over and the stove will be working 24/7 ! The good news 7 ton in the cellar full tank in the plow truck and the snowblower is ready freezer is full ......... Im all set!!!!

Since oct 15th I just put bag # 10 in. Last night was the first time the stove needed to cycle during the evening, early morning. Had about 0.5 inches of white stuff on the ground...

We leave the house warm, and on during the day as well for the pooch!

I'm in Ct also - used only 9 bags to date. My house well insulated, good windows, stays warm.

Quality of pellets is an issue alot of times, if there lower grade pellets (more soft than hardwood) you'll defiantly burn more and notice more ash at cleanup.

About 13 bags of Lignetics hardwood since mid-October here in NE PA at an altitude of 1360 feet. Normal. Stove is a Harman Accentra insert set at 69 - 70 degrees operating in room temp mode.

i'm 3 bags shy of a half ton myself. a little ahead of last year's burning.

hopefully the spring comes in march instead of may this year

Is that the blue or green label ligs?

Burned 1/2 ton also. Part my fault because I'm a new pellet stove owner and just burning when I probably shouldn't have. New toy, had to play.
Hey by spring time you will get over that !!

Newbie here, so I couldn't wait to "fire it up". Waterbury, CT, first fire on Oct 19th and I've burned almost exactly half a ton as you have. 1800sqft, house is circa 1800, few new windows here and there, but certainly not well insulated. So far approx. 10 bags of FSU and 15 bags of Chow. Stove's been on 2 setting all along. I think I'll be bumping it to level 3 starting this evening.:)

Exactly like Husky... new toy so I'm finding reasons to "test" the stove.... about 1/2 Ton since Oct. 1 when it was installed.

and yes.. The Pellet Stove will dry 6 pairs of hanging washed jeans in 30 min. heh heh..

I will probably open bag #16 before bed tonight.

Bag # 50 got dropped this am. I'm hoping my stash of 7 more tons will last till may

You've been burning since September in CT? I live in MA and we just started using the stove intermittently in the last 3 weeks or so and mainly cause we got the itch to start it up plus wife+little ones = they are cold and I don't want to pay for more oil. We had a problem with a few things, so it was out of commission for some of that time. We've burned 4 or 5 bags thus far. Just got word the truck delivered 2 tons for the winter so I am excited to get started. We'll use about 2 tons through mid to late March.
