Found a guy who made this log length delivery for $300.00... to sum it up I got about 8 cords all said and done. Nice, What town is he from? I could use 8 cord.

Its pine hill out of Mahwah, 201-848-8980, I placed the order and it took 2 weeks for delivery, well worth the wait. Just be advised I was given that price cause the wood was green, and they were larger diameter pieces. The guy said it would cost more for smaller diameter or dryer wood due to popularity if that makes sense

What type of wood has that distinctive starburst pattern that I see in the end of one log?

To be honest I don't know what type it is, all I know was that it was very heavy, and when I was cutting it into logs the saw dust was a brighter yellow, I tried splitting around by hand in mid December and it laughed at my axe, when the snow melts I take a few pics of the logs up close and see if the pro's on here can identify

Only bright yellow saw dust I have ever seen on hardwood was osage. Looked almost like black cherry once it was dry but was much heavier. Fresh splits were still yellow inside.

I think you were paying for trucking more so than the wood. Similar log loads can be had for free in Bergen county.

Anybody know anyone in the Orange County ny area?

If your username has your zip code in it you are the same distance as kennyp is from Mahwah and his source.
