Hi all...first post, long time burner!
I picked up this old pacific energy super 27 off craigslist for $100! It seems in great shape. It's replacing my Osburn 1000 that is in need of some repair.
Has anybody seen this model before? It seems a little smaller than the modern super 27's as it only has a 13" door. Its also got two knobs to control primary and secondary air....know how this works?
I'm wondering how the output will be for my 1800 sq ft 1 1/2 story bungalow...

Ah she ain't the same as my older Super 27.

Good buy for a quick hundred.

Wow, that is old. I looked at the archived manuals on PE's site, but I didn't see anything that would help you. You could try to contact them, or maybe @thechimneysweep can help.

Wow, that is old.
They had a cat option on an '83 stove?!! _g My 2460 has separate cat air. Manual says higher burn rate, give it more cat air. Not sure if your stove is a cat but I'd think the same principles probably apply, even if it's not...

I read that on the tag, too. I'm interested in knowing more about it. Hope the OP keeps us posted.

I don't think this is a cat stove. I like the separate primary and secondary controls, though it's one more thing to forget. I think this version was before they were using stainless for the baffle and rails. But if it is in good shape that may not need replacing for years. Start a conversation with Tom (thechimneysweep). His old PE may be of this vintage.
