Hey everybody, I am knew to using a pellet stove. I purchased an Englander 25 pdvc in January. I installed the stove and then could not find any pellets for the stove.I live in south central PA, Finally the end of march I found some Green Supremes at the local HD.They seem to burn ok.Now I found some O'Malley power pellets. Are these good pellets. I can get them for 230 a ton. Buy or not. your help would be greatly appreciated.

Best is to always try a few bags before committing to a large quantity purchase. IMO $230 for O'Malley might be a bit on the high side.

Thanks for the info. I will have to check them out as there is nothing else available in my area. Thanks agatn

Omalley is an average pellet. Nothing to brag about but certainly capable. Leaves a caked on like ash that requires a bit more cleaning time. The heat output is in the middle of the pack.

Check out Craig's list. I'm not too familiar with who the pellet dealers are in your area but, I see there's Energex Premiums in Myerstown for $215/ton ... I'd go with them at that price. Do you pick up your pellets or have them delivered? How far are you willing to travel for them?

I pickup my own. As far as the Energex in Myerstown Ihave called on several occasions and got no answer I only live five minutesI away. As far as traveling I will if I need to.

That's funny, I sent them an email over the winter inquiring where a distributor of the Golden Hardwood's are near me and never got a response.

Maybe I will stop and see if anybody is there to talk to in person. Would be great to have a supplier so close.
