I got rid of my safety chain on the Echo by buying a S57 chain. It's not a very aggressive but it's a step up I guess.

If I want a D style chain, would I simply buy a D57 chain in the right length?

Chain sold by size:
Pitch , gauge
& how many drive links.

Then by cutter type.

Oregon has a look up link to match your saw to the correct chain but may not give the pro series chain.
An Oregon dealer, saw shop (etc) near you can help.
Take the saw or the old chain when you go.
