Recently I’ve noticed my p61a struggling to heat up our house. It always seems to be on a low burn and keeping the room at 70 even though it’s set in room temp to 75. Only runs the feed motor between 5-10 seconds. If I crank up the room temp it responds by running the feed motor instantly but only will run a max of 10 seconds. I discovered our cat chewed on the temp sensor so I just replaced that today. I tried to shut the stove down prior to installing the sensor and it wouldn’t shut down. The status light shut off when I placed the stove to off but it kept feeding 5 seconds worth of pellets for a while. I eventually unplugged it for about 30 seconds and plugged it back in which resulted in a proper shut down. I replaced the sensor and fired it back up. It ignited without any noticeable issue. But has subsequently returned to its very low flame and feed. The status light is solid with no detectable blinking or error. For some reason the stove is only commanding it to run the feed motor 5-10 seconds. Why is this? If it’s on room temp and the temp is colder than the set temp it should be feeding and bringing the room up to temp but it’s not. I tried stove temp for a few yesterday and it was no different. Any ideas? I believe it has to be on the control side as the feed motor isn’t trying to run any longer than 10 seconds. If it ran for 30 but wasn’t actually feeding anything then I would think a mechanical issue.
