To my fellow Long Island residents, I usually pick up my lignetics at GTS building supply on Vets hwy, but have been wanting to try some other pellets besides what the big box stores carry. Rella coal only carries Energex, which I'm not interested in burning. The only other retailer I know of is Bravo in Copaigue, but $415 for blazers etc. Way too high. (broken link removed)
Anyone know of another retailer which sells quality pellets? Thanks

Yeah, because of price I don't buy much from the smaller distributors.

I just hunt around from HD and Lowes looking for the best brand to buy. There are some good deals now if you can store pellets for next season.

There were some Long Island members that used to chip in and buy a truck of high quality pellets directly from the manufacturer. When the truck came in they would figure out how to distribute it. See if you have find the thread and PM them. But you are taking chances buying a brand and cargo unseen and untested. Good brands of pellets have ups and downs.

I will buy some stove chows from Home Dopey from time to time, but never a ton simply because of the amount of ash they produce. I did buy a few tons of Fireside Ultras last season. I would but them again, but they had nothing similar at Home Dopey or Lowes this season.

I found Presto Logs, Timber Heat, and Green Supremes to have good heat and low ash. But they are mostly out by now.

Green Supremes are rebagged New England Wood pellets, I struggled through a ton on that a few years ago. They do no burn well in my stove.

Are you looking at stove dealers also? There is a dealer on Jerusalem Ave in Levittown, but I do not know what he carries.
I know two people that do buy from him.

The website leaves a lot to be desired, most pages are empty.

Thanks Bill, but I'm in Suffolk, a little too far for me.
