A glorious Veterans Day in the mid-Atlantic! My new Fiskars X27 arrived yesterday, just in time to try it out on some maple. Fantastic! It split the rounds with relatively little effort and a satisfying pop. It was a whole lot easier to swing than my old 8-pound maul. The only problem is that I'm used to a shorter handle, so I overshot the log a few times. I wish I had grabbed one sooner! Thanks to all of you who raved about yours and convinced me to pick one up...
