pipe sealing..... mandatory?

Hi again, at the end tomorrow arrives my new stove. A question that sourges to me is, if it´s mandatory to seal all pipe tube conections or just the ones which are inside the house like arround the stove and next ones

i was under the impression you dont have to seal th esingle wall stove pipe. just push it togeather, the draft is supposed to keep the smoke going the right way.

I will be sealing all the ones near the stove, especially as I'm rear venting, but the ones in the chimney - no

Have not sealed any, and have had no problems.

I think its only required that you use 3 fasteners to hold the seams together. Sealing is optional. I did it on ours because it didn't take much extra effort.

Sealing is not required. Although, if I had a weak draft I might do so (if the draft couldn't be improved).
