Question:

I am trying to get a Jotul 602 in a tight spot. It needs 13 inches of clearance, but it's going next to baseboard heaters that stick out about 2 1/2 inches. Do I have to measure from the baseboard or can I measure from the wall? The baseboards are all metal, and of course at floor level, where I assume they get less heat.

Answer:

No problem...if the baseboard are all-metal, you can figure the clearances from the combustible wall (the sheet rock)
