My eko is up and running great ! Helping the neighbor plumb in a biomass 60. He'll be using a heat exchanger plate too plate do you size the heat exchanger to the size of boiler 200,000 btu boiler needs a 200,000 btu exchanger?

When I purchased mine, I was told it was based on the sq. ft of home.

Size it for the required flow, delta T and pressure drop for your pump.
GEA Flatplate has a great calculator online. It is free, but I think you need to register. I have never gotten any spam or anything from them.

Yes, size it by the load it has to move, or transfer. Also by the acceptable temperature difference. For example, a close approach sizing method could get the B side within a few degrees of the A side.
The closer you want the two temperatures, the more surface area or plates you need, and adequate flow rate of course.
