Hello all, I have an opportunity to buy an ‘06 model englander 25-puf (55-shp240). However the seller says it hasn’t been run in atleast a year and quite frankly, he doesn’t know much about pellet stoves so he couldn’t tell me much about the unit and how it last ran.
Long story short, I’m looking to see if there a way to run a diagnostic mode on this unit specifically. There are other forums and google searches that state pressing bottom 3 bottoms right after plug in. I was at the unit tonight and tried that and sometimes, it would go into an F-S mode which they say is a diagnostic mode but nothing would happen with any singular button push. The unit is very dirty and upon plug in ( like 3-4 different times) the exhaust blower would turn on right away. Af is the unit was locked in “ON” position.
Additionally, he said when he did have it running, he couldn’t get it to auto start (igniter). I was really looking for diagnostic mode to see if the room blower works but couldn’t get to that point.
The gent is asking $450 obo and after the initial inspection, I told him I’m not sure I can give anywhere near that because the new control panel runs $350, igniter $30 ish and room blower $110 approx.
is this sounding like maybe it is all the control panel being wonky? Or could there be a wiring issue? I didn’t have time to dig into it because it’s at his inspection shop and they were trying to close up
