Well I swept the chimney Sunday seeing how its in the 80's now. I have a short straight shot from the top down. The inside of the stove has the burn tubes, firebrick, then insulation blanket on top of that. I had slid the rear most bricks forward and it pushed the insulation toward the front also. I swept the chimney and cleaned everything up. Last night I was sitting here and thought to self- oops never put the stove back together. So I tried pushing the blanket back from on top of the baffle and felt it rip. So I maneuvered my hand up from the back (by the flue) and tried to pull and succeeded in tearing a big chunk off the blanket. what am I to do ? How do I get a new blanket in without the same problem? and avoid this in the future.?
