I waited too long (for various reasons) to get my pellets and now I'm forced to deal with high prices and expensive delivery. I do not have a truck nor do I have access to one. None of my 3 neighbors who have pellet stoves want to go in on a deal together. So now I have to get my 2-3 tons and pay through the nose...ugh.
So I'm thinking of going with woodpellets.com because I did business w/ them last year and they were very prompt on delivery etc. (I got Granules which I'm not that impressed with, but they got me through the winter). But, last year they had a delivery special--$35 for any number of tons (I got 3 tons or thereabouts). This year it's going to cost $64 for delivery (ouch) but I don't have a choice..the local places are charging that much or more for delivery. I'll also probably go with Cleanfire Hardwood ($249/ton) ...because it's middle of the road price and seems to have relatively high btu output. (They only offer 4 brands in my area.)
So does anyone have a promo code I can punch in and save a little bit when I place my online order?
