I got a coupon in the mail for 10% of today so I gave HD a call and bought my 4 tons for $177.20 a ton. I know firesides aren't rated up there with the elite pellets but Ultras have been my pellet of choice for 5 years and I have been very happy with them. At that price it's a good deal even if they're not Okies or Hamers.

If they have been working for you that's all that matters:) more $$ in your pocket for other things like Beer ;)

Too early in the year for beer. It has to be above 65 for me to crack a can. My extra money is going(gone) for toys like a new lawn tractor, chainsaw, and mower; all Huskies.

I bought about 20 bags of FSU's a while back... they burned great for me too....good score!

I'm happy with my pellets too, but they're almost $100 more a ton. You win!

Burning them now and they are working pretty good. How do they handle the deep cold for long periods of time?

I've burned some this year and have no complaints with them.

These are an above average pellet in my opinion also one of the best the box stores offer. The only better would be Somersets but those are a rare find. At that price it is a no brainer. Very good deal for those pellets!!

Heard good things about them. Don't apologize for saving $$$ - we'd all make the same move if we could.

How do you guys get coupons for HD and Lowes? In all the years we have lived in our house I don't recall ever getting a coupon.

Been burning them all year no issues
Good deal

Dude, you need to go to the Pro shop for their saws! Try out a 545, 555 or 550XP Autotune saw. Simply amazing !

More saw than I need! I only have a few small trees (6" diameter) that I want to cut. If I want to cut anything bigger than that I will hire it done rather than kill myself. Like Clint said, "A man has to know his limitations.">>

I only have 1 tree in my yard. But i do some cleanups, expecially after 2 hurricanes and blizzards in last 2 years, and do snowmobile trail clearing.

SO yes, I dont need that much saw either. But my motto's, " Buy it right and cry once over price, or buy wrong and cry every time you use it" and " Overpowered is USUALLY adequate " apply.

Neighbors really liked my overpowered snowblower this past 36" blizzard ::-)

Never burned any FSU, but I think Pres-to-Logs are also an above average pellet that some box stores offer.
