Yes, I've seen a lot of them. Including one about 20 ft long. To me they are boring. If I want to watch a basic gas flame I will turn up the kitchen stove. These displays are kinetic and dynamic. Much more interesting for a gas flame.

Yeah, it'd be like going from cassette tapes to CDs for them.
They already have the hookups and emissions standards (Colorado you can still have an outdoor fire, most the year, most places), just have to swap out the hardware.

Black lights, strobes, bead curtains, posters, Iron Butterfly on the stereo, incense, and a bong are safer and cheaper, and (I imagine) just as effective. Flammable gas should not be a part of the mix. Maybe some nitrous, it doesn't burn. :cool:
 
Yeah, giant bonfires with drunk teenagers, in the middle of the national forest, was always safer :)
