I have 2001 Castile and I had issues with the Combustion Blower stalling, failing to start and squealing. Time for a new motor.

I looked up the part number and find a seller on Ebay that is selling a replacement. I order and wait and wait and wait it finally arrives. I take out the old motor only to find the new one has several differences.

Old motor 115VAC, 0.5Amps, 11 blade impeller, leads plug directly into motor
New motor: 115VAC, 1 Amp, 9 blade impeller, leads on motor.

I was sold on the new motor because it was a direct replacement.

Can someone shed some light on this. Did the design change? Will this new motor work?

Thanks,

Dave

just take the parts off the old one and put them on the new one.

It will work fine. Just make sure to use the right set of holes on the motor. Older stoves use the slits, newer ones use the twist holes. kap
