So I have one to look at. Sounds like the "fire goes out after 10 minutes" issue. The thermocouple supposedly has been replaced. Will verify it is touching the end of the ceramic. I found the service manual and it gave the list of things to check for this symptom. I plan to clean the stove and vent.
One question is does the surround need removed to get to the back side of the stove? If so how does it come off to service venting and trap door just past the comb blower? I have never serviced one of these before. Also plan to empty hopper and check for a build up of fines in bottom of the hopper. Any tips on setting feed adjustment shutter? Any input would be appreciated!

Thermocouple if aftermarket may be wired in reverse. Some have to be reversed at the screws.

Ash pan seal tends to crack and leak.

Free standing-Should be able to reach all the components without pulling the center vent adapter, doors on each side swing open and can be lifted off the stove if needed.

Insert- can be lifted off after stove moved forward a couple inches if needed. No trap door that I have run into yet

Setting the feed, follow the manual. I usually start with the rod at 20 stove on high.

Update. Stove was pretty black and sooty inside which lead me to believe it was a air flow/cleaning issue. I cleaned ash traps and comb fan, opened trap door just past the comb blower and cleaned the little bit of ash out of there. Then went to the roof and sucked out the exhaust w/ leaf blower. Started the stove and it ran like a champ! I messed with the feed adjust shutter to get the flame down some on the medium setting. It appeared to be wide open. I had not messed with this model stove in the past. Learned alot and it seems to be a pretty solid. Pretty simple design. I just hate the ones that you have to drag out to work on. I guess I am spoiled by the Harman inserts :)
