Just stopped by TSC to pick up some pine and saw these.

Manager said they had not carried them before and he knew nothing about them.

Anyone heard of them ??

Spartan,

I just bought ten bags to try in my Hampton Regency GCI60 insert, and I'm returning 8 of them today after work. I'm not too concerned about them being a soft wood so to speak, but they are lighter than most pellets I've been in the past month. I'm a rookie at the pellet burning business, but I had to stop my stove after two bags of use to clean the obscene amount of black creosote that was built up inside of my stove. The heat output is terrible as well. We're going through a pellet shortage in south central PA right now and I'm constantly chasing a new pellet supply until my first skid of Appalachian Hardwoods arrive. Save your money and use at least Stove Chows to hold you over. I know they're the lesser of two evils. The bad reviews of Stove Chow haven't kept my house from being could for ten straight bags. Hope that helps. I'll take a picture next time to show you the difference.

Just got some from TSC. dumped a bag in the Harman hopper. Plenty of fines in bag. Will post later

Picked up 5 bags of these from Ontario TSC. 4.99 a bag, no limit. So here goes.

Dropped 3 bags in a clean stove. First thing noticed was some fines, but the actual pieces of wood was what got my attention. All small and my auger had no issues, but Jesus SOME quality control would be nice. Pellets are short in length. No issue with that, just stating for those who wonder. Feed rates would have to be adjusted. They smell of pine, but not the usual pine scent. It honestly smells like pot, yes the smoking kind. Lol what's the BTU rating on that?? Anyways, they burn great. Plenty of heat and much lower ash than I was expecting for 4.99 a bag. I have discovered that my stove burns any damn thing you put in it though so YMMV. No settings had to be adjusted for these pellets, everything is on full auto. In comparison I had to adjust my draft fan up to get Green Supremes to burn right. Oh and the bag is the most generic looking thing ever. White bag with minimal writing on it. My wife says the little cartoon pic of a stove putting off heat was "cute". That's all that matters right?!

Generic is right.. Not much on the bag for information. Going to try to call them. Heat was OK. Ash OK..The bag was full of broken small pellets and the most dust and fines I've ever seen in a bag that didn't get wet..My filtering system kept getting plugged..

I didn't have the excessive fines, just the chunks of unprocessed wood.

I found chunks, REAL CHUNKS, of wood. The fines were acceptable although on the high side. The quality of the fire was poor until I boosted the air and even then the stove filled with ash quickly. Heat was on par with PA, not great but not horrible either.

Would I but them again ???? Unlikely

Same here with the wood. However the heat is fine and the ash is on par with every other box store pellet I've had this season.

I paid for wood pellets, not chips. Second bag worse than first.. I'd like to return them
