Question regarding p68 combustion blower motor

Hello,

What is the little wheel (enclosed in a metal housing) attached on the back of the combustion blower for? I noticed that it started making a crackling noise when I turned the stove on this afternoon. I gave one shot of oil and it stopped making the noise. Seems to be working fine

thanks i have noticed sometimes it does not move is this normal

Time to order a replacement CA unit and then maintain it. Mechanicals need lubrication ocassionally.

i put some 3-1 bearing oil...spinning great.......i'll just have to remember to add this to my annual cleaning.

does anyone lubricate the feed motor?
