Just in time for the State Fair & Moose season.
[Hearth.com] Rainy season begins :-(

That system blew through here early in the week but we didn't get but a dampening of .07". This week is another one of golden orbs. Ground is very crunchy.

Same system gave us a little sprinkling last Sunday and through the week also; just enough to put the woods back to work. Showers first thing this morning, but sunny patches with a light southeast wind this afternoon. Nice enough to dry 4 loads of wash outside on the clothes line. :)

Send some here Dave. We could use it.

Hopefully this year moose season turns out much better for you than last year.

Rain is welcome if it only last a few days.
Planted some new grass seed out where the wood stacks were & the yard can use it.

Went & moved moose camp Frid & Sat. River channel different, old location low water, a fight in & out now.
Same area (about 1/2 mile away with better boat access) & on higher ground.

Hate leaving all the fire seasoned wood behind. We did haul a small boat load of wood out & to the new camp.
Sure burns like one year seasoned spruce :)
Have several dead spruce at the new location but it's not all CSS.

More bear sign at the new place, I guess they like dry ground too. <>

Amazing here, warm dry summer = high river levels

The glacier feed rivers have been high water all summer with the warmer than normal temps & lots of glacier ice melt .
I don't see much snow on the local mountains.
Smaller clear water streams are real low water.
This front cooled it down some & the glacier melt will be less.
The river water levels should begin to drop in a few days.
