When I first saw the title of this post, I was wondering what the punchline was gonna be...Never cross a Vermonter with a New Yorker? A Sheep? A Canadian? Then I read the article. I think the guy went from PION to PEEDOFF

Next monster truck entry...COPCRUSHER!This it the actual tractor.

AMEN to that one! Suprising that no one has taken one through some parking lots down in Washington, DC......he just had the nerve to do what we all would of liked to do at one time or another
Don't get me wrong Rick, I won't condone this guy or what he did.....yes it was stupid beyond belief. I'm simply stating that there are a TON of 'loose cannons' out there, I'm suprised we don't see this kind of crap alot more. What I said in my last post was in jest. Here's my problem.....who's fault is it that this guy did what he did? Is it our fault? Nope. Is it the cops' fault? No, they were just doing their job (to the best of our knoweledge). Was it societys' fault? I don't think so, but some would make you believe it is. The bottom line is this guy is responsible for what he did, HE AND HIM ALONE..... not anyone else. That includes the tractor manufacturer, they cannot control how their product is used out in society! That being said, if this clown was to walk into that police station and shoot a bunch of people up, right away they want to blame guns for the crime. It isn't the inanimate objects that commit crimes, it is people. Hold this guy (and ANYONE who commits ANY KIND OF CRIME) accountable for their actions. Don't blame the other good people out there with the same kind (or bigger) tractors, don't let our government take our tractors away!! LOL.....had to get that off my chest. BTW I hope they throw the book at him too.......What kind of sense does it make to destroy the public property your tax dollars paid for? None. Now he's just deeper in trouble than he already was. This act certainly won't endear him to the prosecting attorney. He taught nobody any sort of lesson. He gained nothing, and cost his local government $300K which it can likely ill-afford. He also took a big chunk of local police protection for him and his neighbors and all their private property of the street, probably for quite a while. Stupid, stupid, stupid. I'd throw the book at the idiot. Rick

It really all depends. Was he upset because he's a stupid jerk, or that they stopped him for no reason, made him late while they tossed his car, found a roach in his ashtray and arrested him? At that point did he get upset when they cuffed him, jerk his hands and suddenly he was "resisting arrest"? We're they just messing with him because he stood up at a town meeting "I think we can save money by having flag men vs paying for officer detail"? I know, I'm writing a story, but tossing tea into the harbor was a wasteful act too. I also don't want to make a hero from another Joe The Plumber, but at least he didn't choose to "occupy" something. What kind of sense does it make to destroy the public property your tax dollars paid for?
