I unpacked my Jotul Oslo the other day and while inspecting it noticed two areas on the inside of the firebox (top, front to the right and left hand sides of the stovetop) where it appears two bolts would go to secure the top . . . I also noticed that by lifting up on the top that the front part of the stove top would come up. Is this normal? Should there be bolts here? Is this something that was missed at the factory? Am I supposed to install bolts here?

Should be bolted down. Top should not move at all. Call your dealer... 8

Absolutely agree with 8. Got the same stove and it's tight.

Yeah....should be tight...

Thanks guys . . . called the dealer and he said sometimes these bolts loosen up. Advised me to search around the ash pan . . . and lo and behold there they were . . . kind of feel a bit stupid now for not looking there in the first place.
