Hello Folks,
I've been looking at an old slammer style insert recently with the intentions of adapting it to a insulated chimney liner. I've been steered away from it by folks on here suggesting a more modern higher efficiency insert. l've found a Regency insert locally (possibly a 2400) at what seems to be a really good price. It looks like there has been quite a bit of positive feedback on Regency 2400's on here over the years. Do you folks still recommend them? Do you agree that the one pictures appears to be a 2400?
Thanks!

If you can, put in a new burn tube, replace a few bricks, and see what she does.
Not sure about the age. Maybe Regency can tell you, based on the serial number..?
Bozo.
